And has anyone noticed how [Alt]+[F4] brings up the [Section] Submenu, not quit the program like in Windows normally? I'm using Windows 2000 Professional and have 384MB RAM so memory shouldn't be a problem, the CPU is a Pentium 3 (850Mhz).

I haven't altered which units you begin with (although I have altered some of the settings in them, not AllowedtoStartinMultiplayer=yes or whatever it is)? So long as I only start with an MCV I am ok but with any other units the game crashes while loading.
Only thing I can think of is that the MCV is you home unit. If you set game settings for a quick game and dont start out with one. The game will be over before it started because the MCV is also a building. I`ve changed units from starting out and had nothing happen. Unless you mess with the MCV. You would just need to make it set for a longer game. (Where all units must be killed. Not just buildings.)
But I dont think this helped you question out.
