I also have tried this too. Though I had it set up for them to slowly reload their ammo or go to the service depot for even quicker reloads. Its good and bad for a mod. It makes you think more about your units and how to attack. But also can be quite annoying for some who has to sit there and wait for reloads and the gameplay seems to drag out. But its your call if you would want to or not.
