Do you extract the maps to the Command and Conquer Generals Data\Maps folder in My Documents (other versions than Windows XP) or Documents and Settings/Admin/My Documents/Command and Conquer Generals Data/Maps (Windows XP)? If you do, and it is not working, try to make a new folder for the map with the name of the map but not the .map extention (if the map name is Test Map name the folder Test Map) and extract the map into that folder and you may want to also extract the map preview into the folder as well and/or the master MapPreviews folder. If you extract to the master MapPreviews folder, make sure you name the file like this: userdata_maps_the name of the map's folder_the name of the map. Here is an example of "Test Map": userdata_maps_test map_test map (if it is included in the download). Go to the Unofficial Maps tab in the game. It should appear there now.
