Adding a name for your new unit using Tibed
___________________________________________________________

1. Download the csf file editing plug in from Tibed.net

2. Install it.

3. Go to the rules.ini section and find your new unit

4. Click the Tab General #1 and find UIName.

5. Change that to whatever you want it to be.

6. Scroll down to the bottom on the left side until you find filebag.

7. click on ra2md.csf.

8. Click edit.

9. Click add string.

10. In the name blank type

Name:*******************

the stars represent whatever you put in the UIName blank in rules.ini section.

Example: I have a unit named Barett
In the UIName blank in the rules.ini section I typed BARETT
So I would Type:

Name:BARETT
(with no spaces.)

11. Leave the Extra Value blank ALONE!!!!!

12. In the Value blank, type whatever you want the unit's name to be in the blank

Example:

My unit is Barett
So in the Value blank i would type,

Barett

Whatever you type in the Value blank will be what appears in the game. Everything else is to make it work in the game, but whatever is in the value blank will appear in the game whenever you hold the cursor over it.

13. Click Add

14. Click Save and then click Return to Tibed.

15. Save your mod file and then Save Changes to the game.

This will add a name to your new unit/structure.

You can also edit the other strings to change various things in the game, but that goes beyond the range of this tutorial. Look for it in future tutorials.

Look for more of these in the future. Thank you. Remember, never stop trying to figure out how to do something, and experiment. I also am posting Non-Tibed editing tutorials on other websites. Look for them in the most popular modding sites.
