Adding units is impossible. I never succeeded in adding any units. I tried - that's what all the add things are for. But it doesn't work - because you can't add new art to the game, you can't add any new units, structures or weapons.
I also haven't heard from anyone who succeeded (during the past year), so I'm afraid it can't be done.
