On my system, the system crashes sometimes too! Almost every time lately. I play mostly NOD so I think there's a GDI building/unit that causes the crash. I'm going to check now, what kind of unit or building (and/or the matching weapon, warhead and projectile) caused these crashes.
You could try to chack where, when and how it happend: If you were just doing nothing and the system crashes, it probably has something to do with the opposing side.
Maybe they could make a simple error detector in the next versions of TibEd; it would make life much easier. I also like the idea of putting useful tips in the popup window.
