I`ve been trying this one out. For its weapon give it the FireballLauncher. This weapon should be in the game by default. But make sure it has...
UseFireParticles=yes
AttachedParticleSystem=FireStreamSys
Now go to the Particle FireStream. And give it the Virus gas Image... Image=TXGASR. now you should get the fire stream look. But the only problem is you must play with the warhead Fire so the units take damage. Think this is because those weapons arent used in RA2.
